Extraction and Socket Preservation
Procedure to support dental implant
Tooth extraction involves the careful removal of a tooth from its socket due to various reasons. If it has been determined that a tooth needs to be removed and that an implant will be placed in the future, it’s important to ensure that we have enough bone to support and stabilize it when the time comes. In such cases, we typically perform a procedure called socket or ridge preservation at the same time as the tooth extraction. Socket preservation helps maintain the bone structure in that area, preparing it for the future implant placement. This ensures that we have a solid foundation for the implant when you’re ready for it.
