Crown Lengthening
In certain cases, when a dentist plans to place a crown or bridge on a tooth or multiple teeth, they may encounter a situation where the tooth or teeth have suffered from fractures or decay to such an extent that there is not enough tooth structure remaining to adequately support the crown. To address this issue, a procedure called crown lengthening can be considered. This procedure aims to increase the amount of visible tooth by performing a minor treatment, enabling the dentist to create a stronger and more stable foundation for the crown or bridge, ensuring better long-term support.
